“Play is the highest form of research” – Albert Einstein
Our childcare space is divided into 2 rooms: 6 weeks to 3, and 3 and up. Most of the year, we only have kids 6 and under. During school breaks, we welcome kids up to 10 years old.
We have a play-based curriculum in the baby and toddler room where they are introduced to new letters and colors with a corresponding theme each week. They explore the theme through new toys, crafts, and books. Babies sleep as needed, and the toddlers have nap time from 12:00 until about 2:00. The classroom is breastfeeding, formula feeding, cloth and disposable diaper friendly. The class ratio is 5 kids to 1 teacher (the state standard is 6 kids to 1 teacher).
Zoophonics is incorporated into the preschool curriculum, as well as crafts and centers. When it is under 90 degrees, the class also goes outside to our gated play area. Preschoolers have quiet time from 12:30 to 1:30. They can nap or participate in quiet activities, like reading or coloring. The class ratio is 8 kids to 1 teacher (the state standard is 13 kids to 1 teacher)
Snack is provided everyday at 9:30 am and 2 pm. Lunch time is at 11:30. Please bring your child diapers, wipes, an outfit change and a packed lunch.
Moms are welcome to check in on their kids at any time.
All of our teachers are CPR/First Aid certified, have fingerprint clearance background checks and current food handlers cards.
Meet our Teachers:
I have been in childcare for over ten years. I’ve run a home daycare, been a Preschool teacher and everything in between! I love working in childcare. Being able to see how smart the children are and watching things click for them and their little “big” personalities develop is my favorite! When I’m not loving on the MomPlex community, I love to spend time with my husband and kids. I also enjoy reading, photography and all things Color Street
Heather Christy lives in Chandler, AZ with her husband Daniel. They are expecting their first baby. Heather enjoys coffee, reading, and loving on babies.
My name is Ms. Sharon and I have worked with children for more than 15 years. I have my undergrad in Early Childhood Education as well as a degree in Childhood Psychology. My favorite part of teaching is watching children learn something new and implement that into their daily lives. To me, teaching is very rewarding and I truly love what I do.
